Happy Planet is a Vancouver-based smoothie, juice, and feel good food company that started as two guys with a blender in 1994. Today, Happy Planet is found in grocery and natural food stores across Canada, and has expanded niche product offerings into the United States.
We partnered with the Happy Planet team to spearhead, revamp, and execute their social media strategy.
After conducting market and competitor research, we created a social media strategy with an emphasis on Instagram and Facebook and a focus on brand awareness and community building. The brands two main goals included: 1) increasing engagement 2) increasing online following.
After managing Happy Planet’s social media for only one year, we achieved results over and beyond their goals for impressions (+124%), engagement (+327%), website visitors (+3,739%) and social media followers (+111). Next, we successfully reached their long-time goal of increasing their Instagram following to 10k, taking their followers from 6,576 to 10,115 (+53.8%) within just 6 months.
A notable campaign includes the launch of their new Oatmilk in the U.S. The team asked Vive to come up with attention-grabbing creative, and in response our team shot and produced a set of stop motion videos that involved personifying their Oatmilk. These collectively resulted in 83,639 reach, 95,156 impressions, and 13,252 engagements, targeting a very specific audience base around Expo West.
