Writing for magazines since she was 15, Shnane’s had a passion for marketing ever since she created her first advertisement back in grade four. As the youngest of five, she learned early how effective communication was vital for having your voice heard; a valuable skill that’s helped her clients build brand awareness and consumer loyalty.
Shnane graduated from Simon Fraser University with her BA in Communications, and founded her first social media company back in 2011, which would later become Vive Social + PR. With locations in Vancouver and Toronto, her agency has been fortunate to work with a diverse group of industries, including real estate, hospitality, beauty, fashion, food, and fitness. Her clients have been featured in publications like The National Post, Entertainment Tonight, Elle Canada, FASHION, Forbes, Chatelaine, Fast Company, CTV, Global News, and Daily Hive.
Originally from Ontario, Kristen graduated from Western University with an Honors Specialization in Criminology and soon after made the jump to both the West Coast and public relations. After completing Simon Fraser’s Public Relations Certificate program she dived into the industry headfirst and has been passionately working with a variety (read: everything from fitness and beauty to trade shows and personalities) of companies since.
Energetic and driven, Kristen works to effectively communicate her clients unique stories, while simultaneously building brand recognition and securing notable coverage.
As a graduate from BCIT’s Marketing Communications Program, Annette developed a passion for design, branding, and social media through her school and personal projects. In particular, the powerful connection created between consumer and brand through compelling imagery.
Growing up around BC’s beautiful nature, Annette was always drawn towards landscape photography. Pursuing to combine both passions has led her to begin her career at Vive.
